Kenyan Brigid Kosgei smashed Paula Radcliffe’s marathon world record that seemed untouchable for years and that was known as the longest-standing for the men’s or women’s marathon for the last 50 years.

The 25 years old Kenyan run the marathon of 42,2 km in 2:14:04 which made her the youngest winner of all times.

The good weather conditions and the fact that Kosgei was in a great shape helped her set a new record by finishing only 81 seconds faster than Radcliffe.

According to her, women can run much faster than what she did, and she believes that her new record can be beaten as well.
